I did get some nice pictures though. Unfortunately there are wayyy too many to post here so I will pick and choose.
We started out in Wyoming stopping at the LDS visitors center where they have actual handcarts and the history of the pioneers. We ended up spending Saturday night at missionary village where the missionaries that run the visitors center live and visiting the center on Sunday morning.
This is sunset Saturday night.
Our mode of transportation.
Amy, Tony, Helen and her daughter Jessica. We invited them along on the trip and it made everything soo much fun.
Amy and Jessica in front of a handcart.
Independence rock was a marker in the journey westward, you had to make it here by July 4th or risk getting to your destination too late and having to deal with the snow.
Then onward to Custer South Dakota. On Monday we took a ride in an 1880's train, here you can see the conductor coming around for the tickets.
On the return trip the engine went to the front of the train to hook up.
Here you can see a closeup of the engine through the front windows of the train car we were on.
After the ride was done I snapped some outside shots of the train. It runs from Hill city to Keystone.
We left Wednesday for Yellowstone. Here are some random shots from around the park.
A silly shot of Amy.
This bull would not get off the road, he was slowing traffic in both directions.
These falls are 109 feet and fall at a rate of 500 gallons per second.
More buffalo in the distance.
I can't remember what this is but it sure is interesting.
And then we came home yesterday.
That's it, the end
I wanna go back
