First off is getting a good food supply and other essentials in order. The presidents and general authorities of the church have been talking about doing this since before I was born and I'd say it's about time we did it. People who do this have also come to be called preppers and National Geographic Channel even has a show about it. It's actually turning out to be quite fun.
The second thing is building a campground in North Dakota. Sounds kind of strange doesn't it? We found there is a need for a family RV park there for the oil workers and their families and can prove a need for it. It would be nice to be able to get Tony off the road and to give our daughter Heather a good job. This is going to be a big project and the scary thing is trying to get the funding for it. If we can't get that nothing goes.
The third thing, and this is very recent, is selling little kits. Tony came up with the idea and our friend Nanci expanded upon it. She had some great ideas too. We will see how that goes and I will keep updated.
So Nanci's job is any thing survival related and my big job is getting together cost estimates, floor plans, and eventually business plans.
This year is going to be sooo much fun!!
These are supplies for 72 hour kits that we are putting together.
I found these at the dollar store and they are perfect for some of the kits we are putting together.
This is one of the books I got for Christmas, This is the book get it. It has everything for surviving from scratch.
This is a first aid kit I built up some years ago and after having been ravaged through several times by various family members I am finally building it back up and putting a lock on it ha ha.
