Wow it's been two years that I've been absent from this blog. Life tends to get busy. Very busy.
I still have a full time job (best job in the world, love it) and I also stay busy with keeping up over an acre of land and a five bedroom house. For the past two years I have been gardening successfully for the first time in my life. Last year we had a bounty of pumpkins, zucchini, tomatoes, peas, corn and a lot of herbs for cooking. This year wasn't the best but we still got a pretty good harvest out of it and we really grew some nice sunflowers. The biggest problem this year as opposed to last year were the deer, they were all over my garden and ate a lot.
We still have our grandson with us full time even though his mother comes to see him every day and takes him with her when she can. He is four years old now and he's a riot, not without the quirks of a four year old, but when his mother is finally ready to take him to live with her I'm going to miss him sooo bad not having him with us all the time. I love him beyond all words.
Our two oldest children have flown the coop but our youngest Amy is still with us. She has a job working at the Deseret Industries in Ogden and they may be helping her get into culinary school. That would be so wonderful because she loves to cook and already knows a lot about it. She has her interview today so we will see how it goes.
I have also (after much encouragement from my dear hubby and friend) decided to finally get serious about my writing. Anyone who knows me knows that I have been writing for most of my life. I will eventually be submitting my stories to publishers but for now I am sort of building a resume and working on getting better at the grammatical side of writing.
Anyway that's pretty much where life has been over the last two years nothing super exciting.
I am going to start taking pictures again of the beautiful valley where we live. Fall tends to be a very good time for pictures here and the colors are just beautiful.
In the meantime these are two pictures I took a week ago this past Sunday looking out over Pineview Reservoir.
