It seems like all I write about lately is the weather but this past week has been one to beat all. Last Wednesday we had a snowstorm then it went to well below freezing temperatures turning everything to ice then on Monday it rained, hailed, and slushed while there was still ice on the ground. Powder Mountain Ski resort just up the road from where I work has been closed since Monday because of high wind and avalanche conditions. And the road going up to Powder Mountain has been closed all day today stranding people who both live up there and are guests at the few resorts up there.
This is something that hasn't happened in a very long time so I guess I am around on a few days that made history.
I almost have to laugh when I hear people back home becoming excited about the snow. I've just spent the last week shoveling a ton of it, snowblowing it, and putting salt down on it. And just when I think I am done more comes crashing down off the roof and I get to start all over again.
At least I am burning some calories, that's always good.
Okay enough of my rant about the weather. Its supposed to calm down tomorrow and Friday anyway.
Here are some pictures I got this morning.
