Never a dull moment

Sump pumps are lifesavers in a way. They keep our house from flooding and I am very thankful that the previous owner had the foresight to install them. It is only February and after all that mess in January the weather has been unseasonably warm even to the point of raining instead of snowing. What it has done is cause a lot of the snow and ice to melt at a rapid pace. It has melted the snow on the mountain behind us and started running down the stream about half an acre up behind our house. For whatever reason one of the previous owners of the house thought it would be a good idea to have the water from that stream direct feed into the basement of the house and in the video you will see what it does. The previous owner of the house has tried in vain to find the inlet that feeds down to our house from that stream and so have we but wherever it is it isn't visible.

Here is what is happening. (It's not supposed to be doing this until at least April).

I don't usually do videos and I am definitely not out to be a youtube guru but this will at least give you an idea of what it looks like.
