This thing called life

For those of you who are younger than me and might think that life slows down in your forties because the kids are out of the house. Hah! Think again.
It's amazing to me that despite the fact I have Aspbergers that I can still take on and manage as much as I do. Right now is the busy season for me with starting my gardens back up for the year, taking care of the outside of the house which doesn't happen very much in the winter, still dealing with our demolished garage and trying to get everything in line to rebuild it in a little over a month. At the same time I am also attending Dave Ramsey's financial peace university one night a week, going to the gym one to two nights a week, taking my daughter to culinary school in the morning and picking her up at night, and hmmm what else?....oh yeah writing a romance novel.
I almost have to laugh when I think about all of it. The sad thing is that life has kept me so busy this winter that I haven't been able to keep up with my food storage the way I want to. Still buying things to put in food storage but not shelving them properly. And believe me if you let it get a little out of hand it gets a lot out of hand.
The one thing I did forget to mention is that I work a full time job on top of this. Nine am to five thirty pm.
Thankfully I have had help last week and this week. My son and his friend have begun clearing out the barn and it's so nice to have the downstairs stalls empty again. We may be boarding a horse and are trying to get the barn and back pasture ready for that.

This is a board in the outer doorway where previous horses have chewed

This is the stall itself. That middle board will be coming out and we will either building a half door or putting a panel there.

If you go wayyyy back in the blog to about six years ago you can see where I was building up the room on the other side of this one to use as a tack room. We may keep it for that or turn it back into a stall, not sure at this point.

Anyway that's my exciting life for now and partly why I haven't been posting quite as often.

Until next time.
