Busy

Lot going on this beautiful Friday morning and all before I had to be to work at 9am.

It all starts with this jungle enclosed in netting to keep the cats out. I bought these few plants at Valley Nursery last Saturday. There are some peppers, strawberries, lavender, chives and a few other plants mixed in.

The gardens are getting there. I finally got this one degrassed. Some are okay and some need to be worked on as evidenced by the next garden up in the picture and the garden pictures below. I will also be adding compost to them tomorrow. Unfortunately all I have right now to help keep down the grass around them is a lawn mower as my weed whacker was messed up when the garage collapsed back in January.

The little stream up behind our house is still running but fortunately our basement is no longer getting any water from it. We ran our sump pumps for nearly two and a half months because of all the water coming in. Still beautiful though.

This is how my plants are getting the maximum amount of sunlight possible during the day. There is quite a mixture here as you can see. Everything from watermelon to swiss chard to tomatoes but they don't go out in the gardens until after June 1st.

And these are the pumpkins. The ones in the orange pots are New England varieties of pumpkins and the black pot are large pumpkins for Halloween.

Well, that's it. I've flooded you with pictures for the morning.
Is there any doubt this is my favorite time of year?

Until next time.
