Finally!

My garden is finally surrounded by a deer proof fence and while it did cost over $100 to do it I still managed to do it cheaper than buying a wire fence or cattle panels. It's made up of T-posts, deer netting reinforced with wire and an old gate that I already had. So far except for once there is no evidence of the deer trying to breach the fence. I left the metal fence on the left side unreinforced but there is tall grass growing on the other side and so far it seems to work. I will reinforce it later on if it becomes necessary.

The pinwheels are cute but they do serve a purpose and I'm going to see if they work. The intent is to keep the birds out of my Strawberries.

As you can see chicken manure and coffee go a long way here but I also like the way the dew collects on the edge of these pumpkin leaves.

This picture is hard to see because the camera would not focus that great but it's our first green pepper.

And it's a little hard to see because of all the green around but there is a tomato plant in that cage there. I recently removed the leaves with early blight from all of my tomatoes and they seem to be doing pretty good. One of them has three blossoms which means possible tomatoes on the way.

And that's it for now. I've been taking a lot of pictures of the valley so I will put those in the next post. This is the very busy season now but the work is all very worth it.
