I've been getting a little behind in my posts but I've got so many projects going on all at the same time and for someone with Asperger's that's saying a lot. I have been reorganizing my seeds on a massive scale while still acquiring more. I am happy to say that my garden is where I want it to be and the only maintenance it really requires now is watering every three days (rain took care of it for me this morning), weeding, and mowing so that the grass around the boxes doesn't get too tall. I will have a very good pumpkin harvest this year (Jack O' Lanterns, New England Pie Pumpkin, Connecticut Field Pumpkin) Some are already the size of softballs and I couldn't be happier. I have tomatoes growing and one pepper is almost ready to pick while the hot peppers are starting to turn red. I picked some Raspberries last night and put them in the freezer and while it would be nice to get enough to do some Jam I don't think I will get that lucky. I've never been able to get watermelon to grow but my watermelon plants are doing very well this year and it looks like I may be able to get some watermelon which would be awesome.
So, enough rambling on about the garden. I've been out and about getting pictures this week as well and instead of them being posted on the days I actually took them this is going to turn into one long picture post. Sorry about that but hope you enjoy.
These pictures are from a road in our little valley that I seldom go down but there is some really nice history here. And yes we got a break from the heat as evidenced by the clouds, it's been nice.
