Not the way we wanted to get firewood

I knew we had a storm with lots of wind last night but none of us realized it had been this bad. We have Blue Spruce trees that surround our house and have been there at least 85 years if I had to make a guess. We have been in this house seven years and have had plenty of windstorms including one that produced two tornadoes this past September 23rd. None of them have ever done this.

This was the tree that the branch fell off of. I'm not sure why these pictures turned out so dark other than the fact that I was running out of the house with my camera and probably forgot to change the setting on it before I took the pictures.

This was all over the side porch and part of the back porch.

The very end of this branch where it broke off was a good ten inches in diameter.

Somehow I slept right through all this and apparently we lost power three different times too.
