Life moves on

It's almost February and it looks like we might be getting a little bit of a break from this crazy weather. I might as well get great winter pictures while I still can and having a telephoto lens is awesome.

In other news I will start planting my peppers this month. It takes so long for them to grow I figured that I might as well start planting them this month.

This isn't the best picture but we got our first ever pair of snowshoes. We need them just to walk on our property and up to the chicken coop as there is chest high snow in some areas. They cinch down tight over your boots and there are spikes (Like crampons) on the bottom to help dig into the snow when you are walking down at an angle. I had fun getting used to these but they force me to waddle like a duck.

Amy starts Culinary school on Monday and she already has all of her books, uniforms and a really cool set of knives. I am so happy for her and this will give her so many opportunities.
